Fellows Program at Florida
Research Institute
The Florida Research Institute's Fellows Program is a unique virtual
network of independent researchers who conduct research on a wide
variety of topics in the areas of education, health, environment
and the economy. Unlike most Institute Fellows programs, FRI Fellows
are not employees. Rather, they reside all over the US, work from
their home or other offices, and utilize electronic means to stay
in frequent communication with FRI management and staff. FRI Fellows
are experienced social and behavioral science researchers whose
employing organizations do not have sponsored research departments
or whose employment status does not support sponsored research
projects. These individuals include retired
faculty, adjunct and/or
visiting faculty, new MA/MS
or PhD graduates who have not yet secured
full-time employment, independent researchers
and consultants,
as well as analysts and other professionals. These professionals
pursue individual research interests and multidisciplinary team
research projects. FRI provides grant administration and oversight,
office space if needed, and comprehensive data collection support.
