About
the Florida Research Institute
The Florida Research Institute (FRI)
was founded in 1996 in Gainesville, Florida, a hub of
scientific
and academic research, to provide top-quality independent
research services leading to improvements in the quality
of
life for current and future generations. As an independent
nonprofit organization, FRI focuses on non-commercial
research
projects and is governed by a board of directors. FRI founders
Elaine M. Lyons, Ph.D., president, and Kenneth Lyons,
